Choice is the brand name of Alternative Planning Company, (APCL). APCL is a funeral planning company which was created in 2014 by the Funeral Partners Group.
Choice Funeral Plans can be purchased with APCL direct, or they can be purchased in funeral homes which are operated by the Funeral Partners Group.
Choice Funeral Plans, along with all other funeral plans, are now regulated by the FCA. The money which we invest on your behalf (as part of the Funeral Plan) are placed into a whole-of-life insurance policy, and monies are ring-fenced in order to pay out only on the death of the Covered Individual.
Monies are only invested with UK-based life assurance companies, who are authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority.
Funeral plan monies are also covered up to £85,000 by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). Should APCL cease trading, the FSCS may be able to provide compensation.
